The IMC Media Cataloger organizes, finds and retrieves graphics, movie, sound and text files for use in other applications. The Media Cataloger allows users to create visual catalogs of files and attach key words to objects. Once a catalog is created, the product can quickly search for and retrieve files based on criteria defined by the user. This demo version of the product does not allow you to SAVE your catalogs and it does not allow you to OPEN catalogs created with the full version of the product.

Performance Issues:
Some files will not display the proper data size in the information window. The correct file size will be obtained when the image is blown up.
*****Sound File Preview.*****
Sound files can be played by double-clicking their sound icon in the catalog window. To stop the sound, click again on the selected icon.
*****Skipped File Indication. *****
After adding objects to a catalog, Media Cataloger now provides a list of all files that were skipped during the cataloging operation. A file is counted as “skipped” if it is of a type that should have been recognized and added to the catalog but was not. This can occur when files are too large for the memory available, and in certain other situations. If you have chosen to catalog files including one or more of the data types “Movies”, “Sound” and “Pictures”, a file will be considered skipped if it has a data type recognized by Media Cataloger, but it was not cataloged.
If you have chosen to catalog files with one or more of the resources boxes selected, a file will not be considered skipped if it does not contain the checked resource.
*****File Summary Indication. *****
After adding multiple files to a catalog, a new File Summary appears in the status line of the catalog window, indicating the number of files that were scanned, the number added and the number skipped.
